At 55 levels, 8 Phillip Street is the epitome of luxury design, art, hospitality, and lifestyle fused together to create a new skyline for Parramatta. As the city evolves and claims its crown as Sydney’s second CBD, Coronation Property partnered with global architects, Woods Bagot to craft a unique destination that symbolises an exhilarating new era for Parramatta.
Designed as a mixed-use tower with a unique reverse-step podium, 8 Phillip Street dramatically extends the ground floor public domain while architecturally framing the existing heritage buildings. The design celebrates and honours the rich fabric of the existing St Andrew’s Church Hall heritage elements. A respectful, adaptive re-use response at an urban scale, the building form emanates upward from the existing church spire, hovering over the pedestrian laneways below.
Crowning the building is an iridescent silhouette that will illuminate the building and define 8 Phillip Street as a landmark destination on Parramatta’s night skyline. Evolving from street to sky, transformative architecture embraces the context of its surrounds, delivering a world-class precinct that extends vertically, layering local heritage, amenity, hospitality, and residences to become an unrivalled lifestyle destination.
Exquisitely appointed interiors focus on creating a seamless transition between indoors and out, with each home offering the peace and intimacy that comes from highly curated residential design, with all the resort-style amenity that comes with a hotel destination experience.
Parramatta’s first luxury hotel, QT Hotel will occupy Ground to Level 17 at 8 Phillip Street and will inspire a design-driven, experience-focused approach with unsurpassed food and drink offerings. The QT experience is proudly centred around creative partnerships that engage with the local community across film, fashion, design, architecture, food, beverage, and styling evoking a sense of luxury that can span all levels, from affordable through to high-end.
