Nine News has featured Coronation’s City Starter, City Stayer™ apartment typology as part of a broader conversation about how Sydney’s housing needs are changing.
The segment, filmed at Precinct 75 in St Peters, explored how the new typology responds to the growing number of single-person households and the increasing demand for well-designed rental housing in connected urban locations.
City Starter, City Stayer™ apartments have received planning approval at Precinct 75, where they will form part of Nation’s Build-to-Rent community. Designed by COX Architecture, the apartments combine efficient private living spaces with integrated furniture, thoughtful layouts and access to a broader network of shared amenity and services.
Rather than replicating conventional apartment formats, the typology rebalances private living space with access to lounges, dining areas, workspaces, wellness facilities and shared outdoor environments across the building.
Coronation Head of Urban Transformations Aras Labutis spoke with Nine News journalist Eddy Meyer about the thinking behind the model and the role design can play in expanding housing choice for Sydneysiders at different stages of life.
The first City Starter, City Stayer™ apartments will be delivered at Precinct 75, with a prototype expected to be available to view from September 2026, subject to programme.
