Coronation partners with TIACS to support mental health

A partnership built on people

Mental health is about staying well, not just responding when things go wrong.

That’s why we’ve partnered with TIACS (This Is A Conversation Starter), a free and confidential support service designed for the blue-collar community, now available to our teams.

Founded by Dan Allen and Ed Ross, TIACS provides direct access to qualified mental health professionals, with no referrals and no cost. Tradies, truck drivers, apprentices and construction workers can simply call or text and speak to someone who understands their world.

Coronation Head of Social Impact Kirsten Steedman said the partnership reflects a broader commitment to supporting people across the industry.

“Mental health support needs to be accessible, practical and part of everyday life, not something people only turn to in a crisis,” Kirsten said.

“What TIACS is doing is meeting people where they are, in a way that feels relevant to them and their world.”

Starting the conversation earlier

At its core, TIACS is about shifting when people engage with mental health. TIACS Head of Partnerships and Impact Ash Newth said the focus is on starting conversations before things reach crisis point.

“The earlier someone reaches out, the more likely they are to stay well, stay at work, and stay connected,” Ash said. It’s a simple idea, but one that’s changing how support shows up across the industry.

From awareness to action

Many will recognise TradeMutt, the bold, high-vis workwear designed to spark conversations on site, but starting the conversation is only one part of it.

TIACS is what happens next, it gives those conversations somewhere to go, turning a moment of honesty into access to real, practical support.

Together, they shift the dial from awareness to action, making it easier for people to speak up, and just as importantly, to be heard.

Launching the partnership at Mason & Main

This week, we’re marking the launch of our partnership with TIACS at Mason & Main in Merrylands.

The partnership is being launched alongside Nation, our build-to-rent operator, who is also partnering with TIACS to extend the same support across its communities.

The event brings together our teams and industry partners in a setting designed to make the conversation easier to start.

Delivered through Mason & Main “After Hours”, the evening includes a hi-vis swap shop in partnership with TradeMutt, alongside the TIACS team on the ground to connect directly with attendees and share more about the support available.

The approach is simple, but intentional, create the space, remove the barriers, and let the conversation happen.

Because creating better places isn’t only about what gets built, it’s about how people feel while building them.
