The precinct integrates three distinct components — Lillian, the build-to-sell residential offering, a build-to-rent community, and 7,459 square metres of curated retail and commercial — alongside McPherson Park.
Designed by a team including Andrew Burns Architecture, Bates Smart, BVN, Silvester Fuller and Urbis, the precinct prioritises permeability, walkability and human scale — reconnecting a closed industrial pocket to the streets and village character of Erskineville and the broader Inner City.
The Erskineville Project occupies a former industrial site in the Inner City— closed for decades, separated from the streets and rhythms of the suburb around it. The masterplan reopens the site as a permeable urban neighbourhood, with new pedestrian connections, ground-floor activation and 7,000 square metres of public open space at McPherson Park, drawing the precinct back into the rhythm of Erskineville.
The design has been led by a team of architectural studios — Andrew Burns Architecture, Bates Smart, BVN, Silvester Fuller and Urbis — each shaping a distinct component of the precinct, with landscape architecture by Turf Design Studio. The buildings are deliberately varied in expression but disciplined in scale: human at the street, restrained at height, calibrated to a suburb defined by terraces, warehouses and village blocks rather than towers.
The result is a precinct that doesn't sit apart from Erskineville. It joins it.
Lillian is the build-to-sell residential offering at The Erskineville Village — 138 apartments, terrace homes and penthouses designed by Silvester Fuller, with landscape architecture by Turf Design Studio. Generous layouts, district outlooks, and direct access to McPherson Park's 7,000 square metres of new public open space.
Architect-designed homes in one of Sydney's most established Inner City neighbourhoods, on land that's been closed off for decades — and now reopening as a precinct.
1,075 build-to-rent apartments across the heart of The Erskineville Village, designed for long-term renting and operated under Coronation's dedicated rental platform. Studios through to three-bedrooms, integrated with the precinct's retail, public space and McPherson Park.
