Coronation’s Managing Director Joe Nahas said he was proud that the Chatswood project represented Coronation’s first move into Sydney’s bustling North Shore market.

Coronation Property has officially broken ground on its landmark $250 million mixed-use residential and commercial development in Chatswood, marking the company’s first project in Sydney’s North Shore.

Located at 57-61 Archer Street, just steps from Chatswood Chase and Westfield shopping centres, the 32-storey development has been designated a State Significant Development (SSD) by the NSW Government’s Housing Delivery Authority (HDA). Once complete, it will deliver more than 150 one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments, along with approximately 2,500 square metres of retail and commercial space at ground level.

Designed by internationally renowned architecture firm Woods Bagot, the project will also incorporate a sensitively restored heritage building, repurposed to host premium dining experiences and wellness facilities. A landscaped communal open space will further enhance the lifestyle offering for future residents.

A sod-turning ceremony marked the official start of construction, led by Coronation’s Head of Urban Transformations, Aras Labutis. The event was attended by members of Coronation’s Executive and Development teams, project partners and consultants, Urban Taskforce CEO Tom Forrest, and the Member for Willoughby and Shadow Minister for Small Business, Fair Trading, Work Health and Safety, and Building, Tim James MP.

Coronation Property Managing Director Joe Nahas said the project represents a significant milestone for the business.

“This development signals Coronation’s expansion into the North Shore market, and we are pleased to bring a high-quality, connected offering to one of Sydney’s most dynamic centres,” Mr Nahas said.

“The location—adjacent to retail, health services, schools, major transport, and the Chatswood Concourse—makes this a highly liveable, accessible address. It’s a particularly attractive option for essential workers looking to reduce long commutes and live closer to where they work.”

Through the life of the project, up to 400 jobs will be created. Completion is anticipated in Q1 2027, subject to SSD planning approvals.

This development continues Coronation Property’s commitment to delivering well-designed, community-focused projects in strategically located areas across Greater Sydney.
