At 55 levels, 8 Phillip Street is the epitome of luxury design, art, hospitality, and lifestyle fused to create a new skyline for Parramatta as the city evolves and claims its crown as Sydney’s second CBD. Coronation Property partnered with global architects, Woods Bagot to craft a unique destination that signals an exhilarating new era for Parramatta.
As construction progresses, 8 Phillip St. stands as an impressive project, with the spotlight now on the evolving façade bringing the architecture to life. This marks an exciting phase in the development as the exterior becomes a captivating visual element to Parramatta’s skyline.
As the façade takes form, the contrast between copper and grey glazing panels is striking, with approximately 120 panels per floor. This detail allows a full appreciation of the tower’s dramatic impact, especially with the completion of the first diagonal cut prominently displayed.
Domenic Alvaro, the visionary Director at Woods Bagot, expressed his delight, “It is great to see the start of the dramatic inclined façade, which sets off the rich fabric of the existing St Andrew’s Church Hall. We are also excited to see the bronze coloured panels respecting the existing context so well.”
Designed as a mixed-use tower with a unique reverse-step podium, 8 Phillip St dramatically extends the ground floor public domain. The design celebrates and honours the rich fabric of the existing heritage St Andrew’s Church Hall. A considered approach to urban redevelopment, the building design gracefully ascends from the historic church spire, creating a harmonious presence above the bustling pedestrian laneways.
Evolving from street to sky, delivering a world-class precinct that extends vertically, layering local heritage, amenity, hospitality, and luxury dwellings to become an unrivalled lifestyle destination.
