Developer and builder Coronation Property Group has announced its continued expansion into the Build to Rent sector, after conditionally exchanging on a landmark inner-city site at St Peters – the former Precinct 75.

Situated at 67 & 73-83 Mary Street and located just 2kms from Newtown and Alexandria offering connectivity into Sydney’s CBD, the 15,250 sqm site has received development approval to deliver 200 Build to Rent apartments and 15,000 sqm of retail and commercial spaces.

Proximity to major universities, hospitals, extensive transport networks – including Sydney Airport – and diverse lifestyle precincts, positions the St Peters scheme at the heart of Sydney’s urban evolution.

Designed by Cox Architecture, Coronation Property’s mixed-use nature of the development will integrate residential, commercial and retail spaces, creating a vibrant community hub. Residential amenities include restaurants, bars, a gym and a small park.

“This central site underscores our commitment to strategic urban development. Its proximity to essential amenities and major transport networks makes it an ideal location for our latest Build to Rent offering. Our vision for the site extends beyond just delivering buildings, we aim to create vibrant, accessible communities for all Australians through our rental offering at Nation. This project will notably benefit essential workers in nearby hospitals and schools, offering them quality living spaces within easy reach of their workplaces and close to the heart of Sydney.”

Joe Nahas, Managing Director, Coronation Property Group

Coronation Property’s stand-alone subsidiary company – Nation – will operate the new St Peters Build to Rent community. Nation is currently ‘on the ground’ in various suburbs across Sydney, and is projected to deliver around 1,500 apartments by 2025.

The developer-builder also has a landbank currently in planning, which will allow for a robust pipeline of additional residential apartments.

The St Peters Build to Rent development is a testament to Coronation’s commitment to supporting the Minns Government’s housing initiatives. Its goal is to build 75,000 homes annually over the next five years.

Australian-owned and operated, Coronation Property is a vertically integrated property group specialising in innovative developments including Build to Rent, luxury mixed-use residential precincts, retail, commercial and hotels.

With placemaking at its core, the Group brings a fresh perspective to urban precincts – combining deep local knowledge with decades-long industry experience to unlock value for individuals, places and communities.
