Construction officially starts on Precinct 75
Yesterday marked the start of construction on Precinct 75, our landmark Build-to-Rent project in St Peters, with an official ‘sod turn’ to celebrate the milestone.
The former industrial site bordering Mary & Edith Streets, will be reimagined into a new lifestyle destination for the inner west, featuring more than 200 premium BTR apartments - just 15 minutes from the Sydney CBD.
This transformational project will be complemented by resort-style resident amenities including a pool and gymnasium, while shared green spaces including a fully fenced dog park will be available for residents and the wider community to enjoy.
The mixed-use site will also feature 15,000 sqm of retail and commercial space that will pay homage to the historical significance of the site as a ‘makers precinct’, embracing its industrial past. Designed by leading architects, Cox Architecture, the new Precinct 75 will integrate with the creative vibrancy of Sydney’s inner west while adding to the liveability and appeal of the area.
Katie Stevenson, NSW Director at The Property Council of Australia spoke at the event which was also attended by our project partners and Coronation’s executive team - with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony organised by the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council.
Joe Nahas, Owner of Coronation said Precinct 75 is poised to play a role in alleviating Sydney’s housing shortage by providing high-quality rental homes for close to 1,000 people in a coveted and well-connected area.
“Precinct 75’s proximity to essential amenities and major transport networks makes it an ideal location for our latest BTR offering.”
“We aim to create vibrant, accessible communities for all Australians through our Build-to-Rent projects. This project will notably benefit essential workers in nearby hospitals and schools, offering them quality living spaces within easy reach of their workplaces and close to the heart of Sydney,” Mr Nahas said.
Nation, our BTR operator will manage Precinct 75, which is slated for completion by 2026. Nation is projected to operate around 2,000 apartments by 2027.
