2019 UDIA Awards for Excellence Finalist, The Paper Mill

UDIA Awards for Excellence, UDIA Finalists, The Paper Mill, The Paper Mill Precinct, Liverpool Real Estate, Property Awards, Awards for Excellence, Urban Renewal, Adaptive Reuse, High-Density Development

The first residential stage within The Paper Mill masterplanned precinct in Liverpool has been made a finalist in the 2019 UDIA Awards for Excellence in the ‘Urban Renewal/Adaptive Reuse’ and ‘High-Density Development’ categories.

Acclaimed architects, Woods Bagot, collaborating with heritage consultants and Liverpool Council, designed two striking towers standing at 24 and 9-storeys respectively and feature lush landscaped gardens and sweeping river views. The buildings comprise 309 luxury apartments, including a mix of studio, one, two and three bedrooms.

Also on offer at The Paper Mill is a wide range of amenities for residents including resort-style poolside entertainment areas, rooftop gardens, and a vibrant cafe and dining quarter.

The Paper Mill precinct centres around the adaptive reuse of the heritage paper mill building (circa 1914),  which spans a vast 1800m2. The historic building was restored, adapting the interior to create a vibrant café and dining quarter with a licensed bar, function rooms and children’s play area. The dining quarter is set to open in August 2019.

The Paper Mill is set to become a landmark destination, revitalising the site’s prime riverside location and reconnecting the local community with the picturesque Georges River.

The Urban Development Institute of Australia’s (UDIA) NSW Awards for Excellence acknowledges the best in urban development across NSW and the ACT. Winners are selected for their standout commitment to excellence across a selection of categories.

Winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner at The Star Sydney on August 2, 2019.
