Sydney-based developer Coronation Property has officially broken ground on the $200-million Ashbury Terraces development.

The milestone was celebrated by Coronation Property and the Ashbury Terraces project team including SJB Architects and 360 Degrees Landscape Architecture, with a Welcome to Country by Uncle Lloyd Walker and a performance by The Gamay Dancers, led by Daniel Johnson.

Upon completion, phase one of the project will comprise 59 three-bedroom terrace homes and three luxury penthouses ranging in price from $1.795 to $3.2 million, with the recent sale of the $3.2 million penthouse demonstrating strong demand for high quality apartments in the tightly held suburb.

Phase two of the development – The Apartment Collection comprising 74 luxury park side apartments has also just launched, marking another huge project milestone for Coronation Property.

Recently shortlisted as a finalist in the World Architecture Festival 2022 for Future Projects – Residential, Ashbury Terraces is woven seamlessly into the heritage conservation suburb of Ashbury, with one, two and three-bedroom apartments designed to maximise space and sunlight, many boasting generous views extending towards Sydney’s CBD.

Inspired by SJB Principal Architect, Adam Haddow’s own award-winning home, the development heralds a new era of residential excellence in Sydney’s inner west with apartment prices ranging from $695,000 to $2,475,000.

Construction for Ashbury Terraces is on track for completion by end-2024.
Coronation Property Managing Director and Owner, Joe Nahas, said: “We are excited to officially celebrate the start of construction on the greatly anticipated Ashbury Terraces, and to deliver on our promise of providing high-quality homes to complement the significant suburb of Ashbury.”

“The recent record breaking sale of the $3.2 million penthouse demonstrates the success and appetite for a development of this kind and proves there is still strong market confidence for quality development.

“Downsizers who have capitalised on rising house prices over the last 18 months now seek quality new product with open plan living, increased amenity and outdoor space – the key features offered at Ashbury Terraces.”

“In addition to this, we are pleased to launch the next stage of the development and offer apartment living residences, with considerable space and luxury park-side living.”

Coronation Property Head of Sales Cameron Porter said: “To date, ninety per cent of those who have purchased a home in the Ashbury Terraces development live within 5km of the site, highlighting that the appetite for the development is among the true believers of the inner west and those who are familiar with the area.

“The record-breaking sale of the 300sqm penthouse signifies the quality of the development.

“The buyer recognised the unique opportunity to purchase within the tightly held suburb and fell in love with the high-quality finishes, the spacious single level layout and the thoughtfully crafted outdoor spaces.”

Adam Haddow, Principal Architect and Director at SJB said: “The private oasis at the heart of the project includes a pool built into the landscape, dining spaces with barbeque facilities, quiet areas to retreat and reflect, and a fully equipped gym.

“This communal space offers significant amenity to residents – in addition to the generous internal space within each residence.”
