Parramatta is fast becoming a mecca for foodies, amid a high-end dining push into the Western Suburbs.
Restaurant search site Zomato data shows Parramatta is one of the fastest growing food zones, with a more than 25 per cent increase over the past two years in searches for restaurants. It now ranks as the fifth highest traffic zone, after the CBD, Surry Hills, Chinatown and Newtown.
And while there has been a gap in high-end restaurants — just eight of 350 Parramatta restaurants have a rating of 4+ or more — that is changing with an influx of more finer dining options.
In Liverpool, a $4 million development will transform the early 20th-century industrial The Paper Mill into a food, beverage and retail space by the end of the year.
