Called Charlie Parker after its position between Charles and Parkes Streets, the apartments will feature a curved façade of glass and intricate brickwork. Artist’s impressions of the project reveal a façade that appears to be split in half down the centre, with two curved sections at the top sloping towards the centre like the bottom of a wine glass. The building from developer Coronation Property will house 111 apartments, and accommodate an open-air pool and gym on the terrace level. In line with the project’s focus on artistic collaboration, these areas will all feature various pieces of curated artwork. Durie Design have been responsible for the development’s landscape design. Coronation Property have partnered with this practice previously for the landscaped areas of the Woods Bagot-designed 8 Phillip Street in Parramatta and The Paper Mill precinct in Liverpool. It is unclear what stage the Charlie Parker project is at, but the residences are set to launch in the market on 25 November 2017.
